Mama Yu's Sambal is a homage to the one sauce found in every Malaysian home. Handmade in small batches by mother-daughter duo Jolene and Xien, it brings together shrimp paste (belacan), dried shrimp, garlic, ginger and lemongrass for a deeply savoury, complex flavour with a slightly tangy finish.

This isn't just a condiment - it's a taste of home. Spoon it over everything, stir it into sauces, or use it as a marinade base that transforms any dish.

Perfect for: coconut rice (nasi lemak), kari laksa (curry soup), noodles (mee goreng), fried chicken (ayam goreng), marinades, and grilled meats/fish.
